Great satisfaction prevails in our National Team regarding its performances in the last two matches against Austria and Romania. Although the points tally shows only a single point, it is widely acknowledged that this does not reflect the effort our internationals put in on the pitch.
Both in the defeat against Austria and in the draw with Romania, our players gave their all, sending out optimistic messages about the future course of our National Team.
There is a clear improvement in our team in all areas, and now the key is to ensure continuity.
The next matches for our National Team are scheduled for October. On Thursday, October 9 at 21:45, Cyprus will host Bosnia and Herzegovina at the AEK Arena, and on Sunday, October 12 at 16:00, it will play away against San Marino.
The team’s goal in these upcoming fixtures will be to secure the maximum number of points, in order to strengthen its position in the group standings and to send a clear message that it can consistently compete at a high level, regardless of the opponent.
